I may be able to get to Coed y Brenin tomorrow for a few hours. I won’t have time to ride them all.

Which trails are not to be missed?

Easy. MBR trail. Then at post 80 take a left up the fire roads / road and take a shortcut to the top of Morticia. Then come down the Adams family trails back to rejoin where you left off. It's basically the best bits of MBR and dragons back without the dull long fireroad beasting out the back.
Look at the maps and you'll see what I mean.

We do a mash-up route every year that mixes bits of the MBR/Dragon'sBack/Beast and some of the MinorTaur, link to Garmin Connect below is it's of any use.

Damn! I wish I'd asked the same question before the weekend... Far too much fireroad on The Beast for my liking.

I like the Tarw myself, for a shorter ride. And then burn off any remaining time in the skills area or by doing a quick lap of the start and finish (badger/flightpath)

@Pyro
That looks just like the sort of route I’d like to do when I go on Saturday.

Any chance of a GPX of that? That would be amazing. I don’t use a Garmin so can’t see where I’d download that (if it’s possible)

No worries! Enjoy it 🙂

We normally ride at CyB once or twice a year with a mixed (in terms of ability, fitness and enthusiasm) group, so we tend to do that loop on the Saturday and the Tarw on the Sunday.

First time I’d been today and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks again 👍

Strava link if anyone fancies the route.

Probably worth checking if it is still open before driving a long way. Wales is slowly locking down and it probably won't be long before they do the same. 🙁
