Heading out at the weekend to do some new trails. Anyone know if the cafe halfway round the dragons back/beast is closed for good? It's the Dolfrwynog tearoom from what I can see.

I need to plan how many sandwiches to pack.

I went past it a few times in September. Not open. Midweek though.

It was open three weekends back on a saturday and doing good business. Relocated to a wooden shed whilst they do some work on the house. Welcome cake, sarnies and coffee break before that bloody climb.

Sounds promising with a little jeopardy thrown in there parksie to keep things interesting. As it's mid half term I'll gamble on them being open and throw a snack bar in the bag rather than droves of pork pies.

Cheers. Will try and find out their yearly itinerary.

Looking forward to it, though looks like a few diversions on for felling 🙄

Result. Cafe was open and is open this weekend coming for the last time before the winter closure.

Chatted with the couple who run it. Top people, and shockingly good value. I've been living down south for too long.

Great time on the Dragon despite Big Doug loop closed.

Second day went to Dyfi for the Climachx. Flipping eck the last section is an absolute ripper. Definitely worth dropping a few quid in the donation tin at the bottom.
