This year's event is a bit light on info re the bike course, is it more suited to 'cross bike or a 29er hardtail?

If you go to YouTube and search for 'Midlands Off Road Duathlon Series' there's a full preview of the bike course. Doesn't look too technical.

I've entered it too and am wondering the same thing.
Video of the bike course on the website looks pretty flat and boring.
Looks pretty suitable for a cx bike but I don't own one so I'll be on my PA (26er....).
Expect I'll run out of gears running 32x11-36

I've not entered - but Clumber is my patch - its not technical.
I'd say its do-able on a CX bike if you have one.
