Good way of getting fit, road riding in groups is fun, cafe stops...

I'm a member of a club, ride road & MTB with them. Great way to learn new local trails, learn about group riding, increase fitness and generally be part of a group of like minded cycling enthusiasts.

Why not go out on a club run and see how you get on with them, then join up if you like it?

summed up perfectly - I ride alone at the moment as my other riding friends are an hour away, not ideal for a quick evening ride after work, with the club i can race midweek and ride at the weekend, family commitments permitting.

Its all good in my experience. Convenient regular local rides = better fitness.
