Annoyingly I managed to loose just one of the little O-ring attached feet from my Crud Mk2s, and I'm overdue for re-fitting guards to the road bike for winter, looking online Crud only want £6.50 for a spare stay pack (which includes the one bit I need) so it's a relatively cheap option to keep using them or should I spend an extra ~£25 on something else? Mk3 Cruds, something from SKS?

As wibbly as the Cruds are they've actually done me quite well for the last three winters on a bike with no guard mounts. Or am I missing out on some other awesome clip on guards...

Email Crud and tell them you just need that one small piece.
They've always been good to me in the past with similar requests

Stick a pic up of the part you need, I've probably got a spare I could send for postage.

got the mk3 cruds and they are ace, alas on my new road bike there's no enough clearance to fit them (unless i run 25mm tyres, and i'm not doing that for god's sake!), so i got some SKS raceblade pro xl do dahs, and they're ok, but i miss the bit that cover the top of the front tyre... so much so, i've actually considered (but only considered, yeah?) putting narrower tyres on for winter duties.... they fit like this:

Cheers Dez I've already ordered the spare stay's pack (having some spare bits will be handy too)
I'm not really worried about the cost of some spare bits it's more me wondering if there's something better available out there, accepting that clip on guards are pretty much always a compromise...

TBH the Mk2s have pretty good coverage which is one of the reasons I will probably stick with them.

The lack of anything between the stays/round the back of the Chainset on the rear on other clip-on designs is a major disadvantage IMO...

I'm thinking I'll stick rather than twist then.
