So I've had a clicking sound coming from my bike for the last week, been bugging me. But i think i've found it, the rear cassette is a little bit shakey, not too much, but enough to say there's something not quite right.
Now I've never seen the inside of a shamano rear hub (435), but would I be right in thinking that maybe the freewheel bearings are needing done? or maybe one the pawl springs is gubbed?
Last time I had and issue like this I just kept riding and eventually the whole inards needed replaced(bearings and springs), that was a pro2 mind, so I'm guess a bit different?
Anyway, any thoughts welcome.
Bikes not that old mind, and has a years free service, you think that would cover this?
bump. bike shops are useless. bike in for service mentioned the issue and still clicking. I'll figure out myself. Any thoughts welcome before I pull the rear hub apart?
Are you sure it's not something else, like the rear qr or bottom bracket?
Pull the cassette off and check the freehub if the cassette is moving a little bit, when I did it turned out that the freehub bolt had snapped in half, new freehub body fixed the cassette movement, but mine never made an odd clicking sound.
