brand new used for the first time last night, using carbon paste on the rails as per my dropper post instructions - all torque up with no movement....

first half of the ride was fine, then second half seemed to get this annoying click every time i climbed in the saddle, stood out of the saddle noise went...

not had this noise before and everything is running smooth, the only change ive made is the saddle....

admittedly everything was frozen last night so could well be mech frozen catching or something of that kind, but as it disappeared on climbing out of saddle its pointing towards that....

btw if anyone gets numb balls, can i just say what a revelation this phenom saddle is, ist genius, 3and half hour ride and not once did my balls/todger go numb! so impressed with it..

ps its the chromo gel comp version and ive been running kium gobi before incase the rails are to blame

ahhhhh! have you not cured it? lube on the rails or anything? is yours more of a click than a creak? i will check the clamp/seat area tonight to make sure thats not the problem too, but i have carbon paste on the rails so not sure what else to try other than some wet lube as well

Have you checked that it's not the seatpost/frame?

I've noticed that my Phenoms rattle a little on the rails but they've never creaked.

Without have seen such a saddle, could it be the rails moving creaking against the plastic or carbon shell? If you can find where the creak is, filling the gap with carbon paste may stop it.

cheers guys - well its brand new so ive not experienced this before, i have'nt had this noise before ever, and the only thing that has changed is my saddle....

will check/clean/regrease clamp, seatpost tonight and add some lube under the rails and into the bits they join the saddle...

as i said its plausable it could be something frozen (ie front mech) clikcing or catching as my gears were frozen solid, so could have jammed in place, but off the bike and spinning the cranks there was nothing obvious catching....

the only other thing ive done is service my pro2 rear hub...could this be the cause of a click? peraps a spring fallen out or something?

Rear hubs can click in the dropouts.

I got my Henge replaced under warranty as it got very creaky
Nothing would fix it as it was structural play that developed over time

Check your chain for stiff links.

my mate mentioned stiff links last night, but its just been degreased and lubed at weekend, so cant massively see it being that, but again another thought to check so thanks!

My Spesh saddle on my Ragley creaks annoyingly

quick squirt of GT85 where the rails locate in the saddle normally sorts it for a few rides
