After an idea of a place to start for a bit of an explore of clent hills. Going to be riding there from kingsheath so doesn't need to be an epic loop when I get there, more somewhere to aim for! 🙂 trying to see if it's feasible to get there and do a ride as it's normally canals or a drive to cannock and I want to get away from having to use the car.

Well I got out to Walton hill, then realised a small banana was far too little to sustain me so looped back to brum. 45k all in which will do me after not being on the bike for a few weeks.
45K is a hell of a ride on one nana!
I very nearly bonked on the way home, kind of reminded me of being a kid when you would follow your nose and then suddenly be cold hungry and,miles from home. All good tho!
If you want to familiarise yourself with the hills it's best to drive over and meet up with someone. I live on Clent so ride it all the time (Mick only pretends to know his way around :D)
Mick knows his way around the doggers car park regulars all too well though.
I think I may well have an ask on here when I get a little more fitness back!

Yeah didn't pass a cafe, would have inhaled sausages for sure! At least I know its feasible to ride there from home, especially once the Xmas weight is shed. Will def be good to get shown the area by someone in the know. 😀

Looking at the map I was closer than I thought to Clent itself, so looking at the map what is the "general riding area?" Is there stuff down near Bellbroughton or is it mainly just that triangle between the Stourbridge road and the M5?
Interested to see any routes if anyone has any.
