Can anyone recommend a cheapo pair to get me through the winter? Had tears streaming down my face today because I've misplaced my expensive pair. Cheers.

Ive used cheapo bolle ones from screwfix happily enough, just treated myself to an amazon special pair of photocromics and for £25 im bloody impressed. First time ive used a tint change pair and theyre ace. Witchcraft.

Shimano Techniums. Come with a tinted lens as well for half the price of fancy brands. Don’t fog like safety glasses.

Are any of these any use at night? I have a selection and none of them seem to any use for night riding.

I've been using presciption photochromatics for years - really good for cycling as the light level can change so much during a ride esp if you set off early on a sunny day.

Quite like the look of these. Did you manage to buy them with the clear lens? Can only find places selling tinted, then would have to buy the clear separately (and suddenly they start start to look expensive)

Ah that’s interesting, none of the shops seem to mention that but Shimano themselves note a spare clear lens. Might be worth a punt and can always send them back if needs be

Agree those shimano look good.
I’ve got the expensive “real” 100% photochromic glasses, riding friend has the fake (clear lens or tinted lens choice). You can’t tell the difference between mine and his when my lenses are clear.

Photochromatic lenses are rubbish at night imo Vs a proper clear lense. Great in the day but rubbish at night. I really want a second set of Adidas evil eyes to fit a clear lense to as despite loving Oakley's the evil shape is really good.

Another recommendation for the Shimano Technium glasses. They’re cheap enough that I don’t mind them getting scuffed up but they’re also good quality and come with a hard case, a microfibre bag and a clear lens (I haven’t used the tinted lens once).

One thing I notice is that they can fog up when I stop but I think that’s going to happen with any of the larger sized glasses and they’re certainly better than some in that regard. Maybe the answer is to stop less.
