I ran out of branded degreaser this weekend, so decided to try a bit of Cif kitchen spray in the chain cleaner. Never had better results, it was all shiney and new! It's a quarter of the price of proper bike stuff and it's always in the kitchen cupboard.
It says that is safe on all metals so have I been missing a trick for all these years, or will it melt my bike!

Probably not, just sit in your links and deflect any chain lube you put on - just like any other non-petroleum based degreaser. 🙂
