Going there for the first time next week. Whats the red route like? I've rEad the website write up and it sounds like a black route! How long does it take to do a loop?
Nothing at Clayton vale that you can't ride on a hard tail. Its very short and you can do two laps of the whole thing in well under an hour. It's impressive what they've squeezed into such a small space though.

If some scally in the woods asks you for the time or remarks on what a nice bike you've got, just keep riding and don't stop. Seriously though, everything there is rideable by anyone who's been on a mountain bike before. And as Greg says, it's not worth travelling far for.
