just looking at 'relisting a wtd ad as its about 14 days with no joy. thought id better gen up on the rules so as not to upset anyone....

Free ads are displayed for 14 days and then expire. Boosted ads are highlighted and stickied in the main index. They may also be displayed in other areas of the channel, for example the right hand column on desktop devices. Once an ad has expired it will no longer be visible in the main index but you have the option to relist your ad in your ‘Manage Ads’ settings page. Relisted ads are visible for a further 14 days. There’s no limit on how many times you can relist your ad, but please note that relisting and ad doesn’t ‘bouonce’ it back to the top of the main index listing.

so according to this, my ad should have 'expired' and no longer visible. however, when i look at the ads there are about 3 months worth, still there.
if my ads still visible, even tho its a good few pages back, im not too precious about it being bumped back to the top, altho itd be nice.
further consideration is that i seem to have put my ad in the wrong category, its listed under hardtails rather than wtd even tho i thought id selected wtd.

whats the protocol here? make a new ad? dont want to be one of those PITA's that keeps bumping their ad for months on end and everyone yawns when they see it, but at the same time i wouldnt mind it getting a bit of traffic. (this isnt a stealth ad btw, genuine question) 😀

I'd delete the old ad and create a new one. It might be a pain if you were selling something over and over again, but given that you are searching for something it makes sense to advertise that you are still looking.

I didn't realise that re listing an add doesn't put it back at the top.

When I look at the list I zoom past the campervan and look for the latest posts.

What's the reasoning behind not putting a renewed add back at the top other than making you buy a boosted ad?

What other reasoning could there be?

The black ads are people who are members who pay to be on here that is why there ads are always higher than non-members.
