I quite like the look of these. I've been thinking about getting a classic road bike for a while. Can anyone tell me anything about them, which ones to go for, which to avoid. I haven't found much info yet. I'd like something to possibly to eroica events and enjoy that would hold it's value without me getting my fingers burnt. Do they sell for big money or are people just trying their luck?

I fear you may be a bit late to the party unless your wallet is bulging. An Eroica vintage Colnago is going to set you back a pretty penny if it’s in a good usable state, and to be honest, will still fetch a good price even if it’s not. Think of it like buying an E Type Jag... There are no bargains left to be had!

However... At least it will hold its value come resale time...

Agree, they used to be a bargain 10 years ago. Maybe try another maker. Lots of nice classic road bikes around with good tube sets and components. Have a look through eBay.
