So pretty excited, shiny new zesty gets delivered tomorrow.... Citylink are delivering it. I work just 3 miles from
My house so rang them and said cam you give the driver my number so he can ringe and I'll meet him rather than miss it and have to go pick it up from
Milton Keynes.

NO. Basically. Not allowed. And they can't give even a rough time slot. Only from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. How gash is that!!??

All my neighbours are at work too.

So basically unless your a bum and don't work..... Don't use city link.

And they said they will still try and deliver even tho I told them I won't be there. Great.

I work and use Citylink and other delivery companies but I get items delivered when I'm off work.

But it just gets delivered when they want! Not me! Works pretty flexible. I could have a couple of hours of. When other things get delivered they at least give a 3 hour slot or something!

Just saying. Wasn't very useful.

And in hindsight yeah sure, riding it home after it was delivered is a brilliant idea.... I tried that but it's already set up so can't change address.

Gonna try leaving a note and my number. Saying I can get there in few mins. Hopefully he will wait or come back after somewhere else. Sure it's in his interest to get it off his van so he has less to try and deliver on a Saturday!!!

Waited all week for a delivery from Citylink a few years ago only to receive a phone call from them the following week saying they had tried to deliver to me 5 times and as I hadn't been in they would be returning the parcel to the sender!
I told them I hadn't missed any deliveries as the wife was off work all week and there were no missed delivery cards posted, turned out they had tried to deliver to the wrong address on the other side of town 🙁 (they said the last 2 letters of the postcode were incorrect on the delivery label) after about 30 minutes of trying to convince them it was the wrong postcode I finally managed to get them to deliver once more to the correct address, when it turned up the next day everything had the correct address on it and it was them who had got the postcode mixed up.
When I told the story to other people at work, everyone that had used them had had a crap experiance with them too. I've tried hard not to use the useless buggers since.

I use city link whenever I have a larger item to send as they're really good value, I've been very pleased with their service when I've had to contact them by phone which is more than Parcelfarce who I have never managed to get through to. It's always the same driver which I find encouraging for some reason. Couriers I've used that do offer a time slot normally seem to mess it up anyhow.

Maybe I've just been lucky but perhaps they've improved a bit.

The last bike delivery i got from city link was excellent, granted it was a 2-3 years ago but it was just before Christmas. I had a half day and thought i'd have a good chance of being in when it was delivered however i was not.

The delivery guy left his number on the card so i called him and he was about 2-3 miles away on another delivery. After the delivery he was on he came back with mine about 15 minutes after i called him. I have never had that from any other courier.

My last and final experience with Citylink was when they managed to lose an 8' parcel spray painted to look like Bender from Futurama. Managed to pick it up, but between going on the back of the van and that van arriving at the depot, it had gone. Bunch of ****tards, and I feel I'm doing ****tards a disservice there.

Could be worse. As anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with Yodel will confirm.
