Day wasted waiting for delivery. Have to take another day off work Monday to receive my delivery. Useless. Don't they think their customers need to go to work. They can't even say if delivery willbe am or pm.

Oh, the wonders of City Link.

They once lost a parcel of mine that was 8 foot long and spraypainted to look like Bender from Futurama.

Yodel today, car park nearly empty, driver in a yodel van parks on pavement opposite two parked cars blocking car park entrance, and all between 2 large signs saying dont park on pavements.

He drove off faster than lewis Hamilton before i could take a picture.

City Link are dreadful. I think every time I've had the misfortune of having something picked up or delivered by them they haven't, and have used an excuse that was clearly not true.

Not used them for a year or so but never had a problem with them for deliveries or collections..... so far.

City link delivered a shock of mine from a suspension specialist firm.
Tracked it & was delivered & signed for - but i didn't get it.
Turned out the driver had simply handed it to one of the builders i had working on my house, they put it in my shed & forgot to tell me!
I was on the phone ranting to City Link, telling them that their driver was an incompetent idiot who shouldn't be handing out expensive items to random people on the street & should instead be sat in a padded room painting with his own faeces!

The poor girl on the end of the phone was speechless 😀

No, just you had a problem.

The CityLink guy I spoke with today was going the extra mile, in the a5re-end of the Borders and he'd already been down the road (its about 3 miles and a dead-end lane) and couldn't find the house. But when I mentioned where it was he just got back in his van and set off again.

I assume he found the house as I got a thumbs-up as he passed later.

Sorry to buck the trend, but I've never had an issue with them.
They have even re-delivered to my works which is near by, after reading a note on the door.

Yodel...don't make me larf. Utter uselessness.

I had city link deliver my new bike today, collected at 13:21 yesterday, delivered at 11:00. I even got a 2 hour window to expect delivery, they were still 15 minutes late though.

In the age of Sat Nav , Google maps, Bing Maps etc ,the majority of people owning a mobile phone with mobile internet etc why is it that courier companies still cannot do the following.
a.Give a minimum of either a AM or PM time slot.
b.Narrow the above down to a 2hr window.
c.Find places.

I have worked as a mobile field engineer for 20years for various different companies and can't recall ever not being able to find somewhere, if its difficult to find then you just ring the customer not rocket science.

There must be some kind or route planning going on at office level to be able to allocate the drivers there workload/drops so why are they unable to give some kind of eta, the only company I have known to do this is DPD.

Saw a article the other day about how Amazon looking to reduce costs may be sending more of there shipments by Yodel effectively vying neck and neck with Sh!tty Link for worst courier company in the UK.

I made a complaint yesterday on their site and no email to tell me when they are going to deliver. If they plan deliver Monday how will I know? This is the Glos depot, Bristol one was just as bad

Interlink give time windows as well, and stick to them on the whole, but IIRC they are part of DPD.

I have had two issues with shittylink in the past and now I actively avoid companies that use them. I am more than happy to pay a premium to use DPD, their ETA one hour time slot is priceless.

Our house number is 5 , Yodel delivered 2 parcels to me for number 3 . I went to number 3 ( didn't recognise the name ) . He said Yodel had sent him a letter to tell him parcels would arrive with the wrong number on . The correct number should have been SIX !!!!! I'm still trying to get my head around it ! 1st parcel had a big sticker stating do not deliver to a neighbour ! 2nd was actually a PC tower case just left behind our wheelie bin while I was home !!!!

I use them fairly regularly and have been really happy with them so far. I get things picked up from my work address though which helps.

There is depot near where I work and most of the drivers seem to have mobile phone glued to their ear.
