I'm hatching a plan that hopefully will allow me and a couple of mates to:
1 Catch the train to Church Stretton
2 Cycle around the Long Mynd for a bit of fun
3 Spend the night at a hostel in All Stretton or Bridges
4 Cycle to Craven Arms for a train back to Swansea area on the Mid Wales line.
The last bit into Craven Arms looks a bit tarmac rich. Has anyone got any experience or suggestions please.
FWIW My knackered hip means I have to use my eBike so I need overnight charging facilities.

Worth the trouble for one station down the line? Nice riding through to Knighton (few more stops) via Clun (good Marcher castle), stitching together tracks and tiny lanes. That train is pretty tight for bike space, often just one carriage with very restricted bike storage. I always got on, but more than two might be an issue.
