Chainstay clearance is good. All clearance is good.

As for the concrete, I don't care. Flat is sold, so it is now another persons problem...

I hope you are going to sort the hose lengths out?

The hoses are terrible. How did that happen?

I will look at them again once I get the suspension fork in place.

Nice one tootallpaul. Since the release details of the Solaris v2 I'm considering going chubby on my v1 for the winter slop.

What are the wheel build details?
Does it change the angles, feel of the bike?

Let us know how it rides.

Wheels are DCR Wheels hubs (Novatec), Sapim D-Light Spokes, WTB Scraper Rims, and WTB Trailblazer 2.8" Tyres. Currently running tubed, but will be going tubeless soon.

Bike feels good on the spin round the car park test- need to ride it properly! Not a great deal different to before really.

I have a good feeling about it so far. I think it works.

Is the front really dished or is that just an optical illusion?

I'm interested to know how it rides with big tyres as I'll inherit one of those forks for a build at some point in the future.

Makes me feel good about my over-long front brake hose too, so thanks OP!

Actually my earlier comment was maybe a little harsh....its growing on me. I don't like the fork though it looks awful but who cares what I think!

Be interested to hear how it rides...

Cheers fella

Hmmm, think I'll pop out to the shed and fish out my old Pro II / Arch EX combo to strip for parts and start putting a shopping list together 🙂

Where'd you buy the tyres and rims? I'm also chubby-curious for my solaris but haven't found anywhere selling these yet (not that I've looked very hard).

Rims - CRC.

Tyres - Charlie the Bikemonger.

CRC also have Stan's Hugo rims for slightly less cash.

Very tempting...
