I am after a brand new/unused Chris King mtb centrelock rear hub (boost) - 148 x 12mm XD in black, 28 holes (either steel or ceramic bearings) but can’t find one anywhere

Any suggestions where I might find one quickly.

I have a 10 month old Enve hub which has cracked and I want to replace it with something better.

Apparently Eve don’t provide any warranty on their hubs, only their rims

Thanks

Thanks but I don’t think they do have a black one. They do have a two tone black but I need black to match the front one

  Enve website says 5 years on hubs? Is there more to what you say re. warranty, did they refuse it?

Saddleback (UK importer/distributor) told me that they don’t warrant the hubs - I will give them another call tomorrow

Interesting. They also say;

Warranty and Crash Replacement

In addition to our regular 100-day returns policy on unused items, all items purchased from www.saddleback.co.uk are covered by our full two-year warranty against manufacturing defects from date of purchase. We will exchange, refund or repair (at our discretion) items proven to exhibit manufacturing or material faults in line with fair wear and tear.

Hope it gets resolved for you

I’ve used Aspire Velotech many times.  Always good.

I've always had to pay duties and vat with AVT. I'd still use them to get CK bits not available in the UK... and prices end up much the same as if they were available in the UK. It's not like we can pick up the bits from anywhere in Europe without duties any more.

Like others - I've always had to pay duties on AVT orders.  They usually come via FedEx or USPS with a very visible declaration of their substantial value.

I'd still like to know the back story of Enve not guaranteeing a 10 month old broken hub, considering the price of their wheels. On the face of it that sounds piss poor.

I'm just being nosey of course, this is not going to influence any purchasing decision I'm about to make. 🤣

I know this is not what you asked but...

I've been using one for a year or so now and there's no way I'd buy a Chris King hub at £600+ when these can be had for just over £200
