Hi Singletrack Massive

I have treated myself to a pair of hubs from the Rolls Royce of the bike world. I’ll never be able to afford a flash car, so this is the next best mid life crisis option.

I heard that King hubs may need special lock rings for the centre lock rotors? I have only ever had 6 bolt, so honestly can not get my head around such high tech rotor solutions, but does anyone know if this is true? I want to get some SRAM HS2 rotors - would these fit with their standard lockrings?

You have CK centre lock hubs, but want to put 6 bolt rotors on, yeah?

No idea, but CK sell this for their hubs:

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I have centre lock hubs and want to stick some centre lock rotors on; I assumed all CL rotors worked with all CL wheels, but apparently some lock rings are different.

If you just want to put centre lock rotors on... then you need a lock ring that uses an external BB tool, not a cassette tool... such as that SM-HB20 in the link of qwerty's.

eg...

lock rings

The one on the left there will fit, the other two will not.
