I killed my King BB a few weeks back but have just heard they (Chris King)are sending me a new one! Happy days! I've read on here a couple of times when people have had issues with warranty but to even the balance slightly I thought I'd share this 🙂

I've been toying with the idea of the bb, but i've been put off by the stories. Love the hubs and the headsets, but i think i'll go for the even shinier phill wood bb 8)

P20 it's been fantastic for the last 18months where I've used the grease tool to keep it nice and smooth. It then crunched the other week and on removal I found 4bearings that'd collapsed. I'd have another one without a doubt.
I've also had a few PW ones, 1 lasted 18 months the other 2 less than 4 months.

Lol @ Solamanda

Given I've had over 2yrs from the philwood bearings that I had put in my rf bb, I should be ok

It's nothing to do with my wok! It's the fact I let you have a go on my bike which kills things

Sideways Cycles do them. I got about 6 months before the original rf bearings packed up, half of that time they were creaking. Sideways charge about £45 posted, mines still going after more than 2yrs and its still smooth.

Was it King or Evolution that warrantied it?

To be fair, when mine failed after only 3 months King replaced it.

Unfortunately Evolution (my first port of call) didn't want to know and I had to send it to King directly off my own back.

I now won't have anything to do with any of the brands Evolution import as it left a nasty taste in my mouth.

How did you get it swapped under warranty? I've emailed Chris King in the States repeatedly and they don't reply.

I sent it back to Aspire who in turn sent it onto King for me. That's the only Mango part on my IF made by Kingbi didn't buy in the UK
