Came across the tweet above on twitter (edit: duh! where else?). It's Chris Froome being turned back from a road due to fire danger.

He's wearing black kit. Bit odd no? Shouldn't he be in ISN kit?

Perhaps he's leaving/left ISN?

(I will discount the Rasmussen style conspiracy theory as given it looks like the Sth of France it's probably somewhere near his tax haven, so no real reason to disguise his whereabouts).

Trainimg kit can be different to race kit, e.g. Ineos training kit is bright orange not black or white

Probably just trying to fly under the radar a bit when out in public.

Quite common I thought. Pros tending to want to be a bit incognito so they can get on with just doing their training session without having to deal with loads of people sprinting to overtake them then slowing down, or hanging onto their wheel.

Which makes sense when you are Chris Froome. To be honest I'm amazed any pro goes out training in team kit.

I think its more likely when they are at the training camps abroad training with the sort of kit they'll use and pr.

I've got team sky issue training bibs and the logos are miniscule

Talk about non-stories. Looks like that's actually from a "news" broadcast?! and 20,000 "likes"! astounding. Yet here I am discussing how dull it is. I know I know. Life in the 21st century eh.

It's not black,it's very very very very ,dark blue.
A black armband may have been more appropriate.
Well done Chris you had a good innings.. 😉

Didn’t Rasmussen get caught training in black kit as he wasn’t where he was supposed to be?

Yes. And every man and his dog said there was no way he should have even started the Tour that year.

There was once a FKW (Sky) in a local bike shop/café near me. I managed to beat him to the food counter though. He had even gone to the trouble of getting Ben Swift's name printed on his jersey.
I probably wouldn't have noticed who it was if he'd been in plain kit. Chris Froome is probably more recognisable though to any cycling fan (sorry Ben).
