2011 Turner DW 5 Spot frame, originally for 26 inch wheels. I could go original spec 150mm travel fork on a 26 inch front wheel or alternatively, 140mm travel on a 650b front and have roughly the same A/C. What should I choose? I'm sticking with 26" rear wheel for clearance. It's got the big head tube so tapered steerer no problem. What do you reckon folks?

I ran 160mm Marzocchi 55 RC3Ti on mine. Loved them best fork I've ever ridden. But I've never been shy about over forking.

I could entertain selling them to you... but they're still so pretty..... I'm thinking of hanging them on the wall.

Go for a 650, better roll over, more fork and tyre choice out there and more future proofing if you go to move them onto a new frame at a later date.

running a pair of 27.5 mattocks on same frame, no issues with handling feels great. ( using a 26 front atm)

I had one of those. My last 26er.

If I was going to make the most of that generation bike now, I think I'd use 650b and drop the travel. Problem is BB height though. It might ruin it by jacking it up too high. You could maybe correct it a bit with offset shock bushes both set the same direction.

I'd also put the biggest slackset it it that I could, but you won't ever get away from the short reach, so don't bash on a short stem or it will be horrible.
