Never ridden here before. Got the route (X1) from the MTB guide from Marple Roman Lakes. Will it be ridable after recent weather (Or will I make a mess of the trail by trying)?
Cheers,
Andy.

Chinley is very wet at the moment - just really splashy gritty puddles mostly on a firm base although there are some deeper boggier ones. And it's raining here at the moment as well.
A lot of the Hayfield trails are rockier and have fared slightly better although there's been a lot of gravel washed off the tops causing some big old ruts.
Holy smokes that is not good. Hmm where to ride tomorrow then
Probs best to do hayfield/edale routes hold up alright mainly rock, whereas chinley is only save to ride when its frozen solid
