Who’s already doing it?

My current gravel bike tyre setup is 40mm F and R, and it occurred to me there’s a bit more clearance in the fork than the frame, I offered up the 2.1” tyre on the front of my Rigid MTB and it will clear.

I have another 2.3” I plan to put on the front of that MTB so now I’m considering running a 52mm F/40mm R setup on the gravel wheels for maximum comfort.

Or is this utter madness?

If you're doing plenty of quite gnarly offroad, sounds reasonable, just like on an MTB.

Maxxis are made in Taiwan, which is kind of China, kind if not, does that count?

Only just twigged, my phone seems to have slightly racist autocorrect enabled.

Don't have a chonkier front tyre but I do have a semi slick on the back and a more aggressive tread on the front and I've enjoyed the results so far
