Road the Chiltern Challenge today, anyone else ride it?
I haven't tried one of these organised events before and it was well organized event, with routes clearly sign posted and GPS files emailed to you if you like the techno gadgets. Friendly staff and top cake for £1 a slice when you'd finished. Well worth a visit next year if they run it again.
Had the added fun of introducing my 13 year old daughter to the joys of mud and an MTB for the first time. Sadly she was using a bicycle shaped object from Halfords that's only slightly lighter than a family saloon! Recommendations for a half decent entry level FS for a teenager, who might cry out as soon as it gets more muddy, would be appreciated.

Def agree it was a top day out, can't help with the kids fs though sorry!
Better with a decent HT, lighter and cheaper if nothing else.
