Good afternoon.
Weeride hurts your knees so what do you buy if you want to go out with your 2 year old? LOCT seems to have disappeared.

Assuming you want them in front on the top tube and not out back?

Oxford Leco universal is an option but I've not used it.

As with jemima, i choose to fart in my childs face rather than have the little rotter fart in mine. Hamax.

I went from Weeride to Bobike, discussed in this thread the other day http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/bike-seat-for-babychild-front-or-rear-mounted-wee-ride

Hamax 'siesta' here. Little man fell asleep like he'd been drugged every time i put him in there. Hours of blissful cycling in peace.

Thanks for the ideas... I'm after a top tube type ideally. I have gone from the Bobike Mini to the Weeride.

The Weeride feels much better for control but, if you have to get your 'pedal on', it doesn't feel like it'll do your knees any good.
I'm going to put the Weeride on a bigger framed bike to see if that will help. If not, the Oxford Leco looks like it might be worth a shot.

Cheers all

Hamax Siesta.

Drivers behind can see I have a child on my bike. Didn't appreciate the wedgy I got the other day though when my daughter grabbed hold of my boxers elastic!

I had similar issues with a Weeride, I replaced it with a Yepp Mini. It's steerer mounted rather than top tube, and I found it sat slightly higher than the weeride, and is narrower. Infinitely better IMO, but appreciate that it's down to my particular mix of bike and lankiness 🙂

I'd rather stay off road so traffic seeing him isn't a problem and my pants are safe. I will quite happily buy a rear seat if my riding does end up on road though.
It seems that most, if not all stem or steerer seats, have a 15kg limit; he's tall for his age so has out grown those already.
I'm fitting the Weeride to the XL 22" 29er bike in the morning, so I'll see how I get on.
