Chicksands on a non-hardcore hard tail?

I've snapped my full suss and despite their repeated promises it appears that BikeInn have not even shipped my new frame yet. I am starting to wonder if it was even in stock as nowhere else had one. Anyway was meeting an old freind for a ride on Friday at CHicksands and I'm now doing it on my Orange Clockwork 29er which is not really what you would call a hardcore hardtail. On a scale of 1-10 will I die horribly? If I leave it in its current XC sort of mode (Ikons, clips etc...) will I get out of ICU before or after Bikeinn finally despatch my frame?
