Having just finished up a road trip to Pila I've emergency AirBnBd acommodation and will be at Lenzerheide tomorrow. Planning to lose my voice trackside and cheering on Laurie Greenland in particular. When he throws caution to the wind he's spectacular.

Who's got a favourite for tomorrow?

Always Greg. Then he can retire and give me babies.

Minnar, I can’t help but like the guy, the opposite of Greenland and Hart’s win it or bin it style, but has his moments, Amaire Perion (not a chance I’ve spelt that righty) probably deverves to win, as does a few others, but I’d like Minnar to bag another one. I’d love to have his mental strength.

Seagrave for the women’s, I’ve a real growing dislike for Atherton, mostly because she makes it a bit boring for a spectator but partly because of her lack of humility, she can manage some faux “they’re catching me up” chat when she wins, but when she doesn’t it’s excuse after excuse like a small slide or bad line choice here or there is an anomaly rather than the reason she didnt win.

I can find a reason for any of the men winning and be happy for them, but I'd like Gwin to cement his status as a legend especially after such a season of bad luck.

Really hope it's same weather throughout

Greg or Brooke for the men's.

Tahnee or Pompon for the women's.

I'll be cheering on all the Brits, Greenland in particular as he's from Bristol and he's amazing to watch. His Val Di Sole World Champs run was incredible. So wild. I don't think there's an unlikable character in DH at the moment so I just hope for a great race. Maes is incredible so I think he'll do well, Brook Macdonald deserves a decent result and is always great to watch. Gwin deserves a medal just for that crazy scrub at La Bresse. Any of the Syndicate guys are a threat, Brosnan, Hart, Pierron, Bruni, it's a stacked list this year.

I hope Thanee gets the win in the women's. Atherton is amazing but it would be nice to see someone else step up and Seagrave likely would have won the World Cup overall if it weren't for the DQ at Leogang.

Dark horse for the weekend would be Shaw, had the pace all season not the luck though. But I think it's going to be a French one

Always cheering for Danny. I ride Hamsterley a fair bit but beside that I think when it's down to one quick, loose have at it run he's your man. Sure to be a spectacle, Cairns was, well, shit.

I really don't care who wins tbh as long as it's awesome. The level of riding at the top is just unreal these days, there's so many racers that could take it

Same as Northwind, they're all pretty much likeable to varying degrees, and to win these days, it's either down to luck with the weather, or some other riders crashing out, or you really have to be on fire; the racing is so close.

Love the world champs though, watching all the no-hopers* makes for a startling contrast to the Pros.

* By comparison only, I'm aware most of the riders there could beat me down every day of the week

Isn't the correct answer Sam Hill?

I would like Minaar to win as he has been doing it for so long and yet remains competitive with all the new bloods coming to the fore. Realistically i think this may be his last real chance at the Worlds.

I think it’s about time Gwin won but he’ll need luck on his side!

When/where is the broadcast today?

There is a red bull link on the other thread but it’s not listed on the app schedule for some reason.

Agree with all the comments on the depth of worthy talent in the field. Could be anyone from a dozen, factoring in that a World's run is different. Been a long time Minnaar fan as well. Gwin is overdue. The form of all the French riders is phenomenal. Shaw has the speed but not yet pulled it all together for that one run Brook, Eddie Masters, Martin Maes, Greenland, Hart.

Can't wait.

Women's I'm with a lot of sentiment here After demonstrating an ability to dominate the women's field by 10 second margins Rachel has been a preeminent force. Tahnee has been matching Rachel, pushing the mrgin down to tenths either way Will be great to see a close finish, but problems on the day for either or both of them could allow Tracey or any of the others to bring home the stripes.

Bring it on

I hope the footage is going to get better. Into the top 20 women and all we see is them roll off the start, then pick them up over 3 minutes down the track, for the last 10 or 15 seconds.

Top 10 now so you'd hope so!

That's just live broadcasts for you, 30 second start gaps means you can't show much of any run, there'll be 6 or 7 riders on track for most of the day. Then wider gaps near the end for the top riders

Didn't realise they only used 30 second gaps.

Rachel in the women's. For the guys I can't really tell, too many on fire atm. I'm gonna call Gwin, but would like to see Hart also.

Always think Atherton's kind of an arse, but that was ****ing imperious. When winning's just not good enough

That was insane. Absolutely mental. My heart is broken for Tahnée though.

Start gap is ONE minute
But the gap is gradually raised to THREE AND A HALF minutes for the very last (5) girls and (10)guys

ie. ONE rider on track at a time for the last riders.

Up in the trees could see that Tahnee wasn't at her standout best. Rachel was absolutely in the driving seat of her bike and was making every inch of track count for speed.

Assuming Laurie is fit and injury free he has a good chance today. Great team/bike, a track he likes a lot and a few 2nds at WC behind him.

Don't really care if he wins so long as he gets wild I'm happy.

Could be any of 12 riders but Amaury probably deserves it most this year.

Thought it was still 30s for the arse end of the riders in the champs? Regardless, 1 minute or 30 it means you're always going to get a fraction of every early run

The winning rider crosses the line with his time showing green. He checks that it's real and then he's back at his bike pointing out the #STRENGTHFORJARED sticker to the cameras.

Tears in my eyes.

Class.

I did think Warner was very restrained in his commentary on outgoing World Champ Miranda Miller, he didn't use the word fluke even once.

I thought both the men's and women's races were fantastic and am thrilled for both winners. Rachel demolished everyone and Bruni's run was pretty much flawless. A great race.

She's being very philosophical about it this morning. She'd planned to go "all or nothing", but ended up riding "scared and safe", but she also makes a great point. Despite being one of the 'Aliens' (to borrow a phrase from MotoGP) she hasn't won a medal at Worlds for 4 years, she's over-rode and crashed out every time.

She'll get it, and a WC over-all before he career is over, I just hope she gets to beat Rachel and not just take over when she retires. I think she *just* needs to break Rachel mentally. Rachel won't admit it, because it doesn't come over well, but she expects to win, he starts each race knowing that she'll win, and if she didn't it's because something out of her control went wrong, she doesn't need to tell herself to go "all out" because she knows if Tahnee and Or Myriam does a 03:00, she'll do a 02:50 and it's that mental strength they makes her so dominate more than anything else IMHO.

I think she's fast as she's grown up with a couple of incredibly fast siblings. It must be very competitive family always trying to out do one another.
