Ha ha! I remember those. If your pedalling style was remotely biased towards one side you'd squirm about somewhere above the bike frame, up and down and side to side. Terrible idea.

£1700 for what is essentially a saddle mounted to an elastomer!!! If it's in BLB it'll probably sell too.

Don't bitch on the flex stem 😉 ....that was the height of sophistication on my Pine Mountain back in 91, along wi the custom cnc brakes - onza perhaps?.

I never wanted one of the flex ride/Allsop bikes though as i always thought they were a solution looking for a problem.

An original slingshot perhaps......... 😀

i'd rather go for the pro flex instead of the soft ride. the soft ride has a rear mech fitted but no cassetts to shift the chain onto. you pay all that money and then have to source your own cassette??
also what's with advertising nice clean bikes with dirty tyres??

Well cool.

Even if didn't ride well, the suspension pioneers of that era were ahead of their time - how many of us are riding FS now?

I think I might change job and sell any old shite in London as 'retro' for vast prices. Reminds me of the Harry Enfield sketch with the shop called 'Saw you Coming'!
