You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi, my mission to get my old man out on his bike continues apace, and now he wants some 'proper' forks to replace the spindly little suntour thingies that are currently in place. Problem is, he won't spend very much at all, being retired and all. I reckon £120 is about his maximum, and thats pushing it. I've been looking out for recons and Rebas that occasionally come up at that price point, but I know little about other brands. The main criteria are 'proper' damping and not weighing a tonne, really. Travel of 100mm or more would be nice, and QR, obviously, because there's no way I'll persuade him to change his front wheel too! Any suggestions or advice very welcome, And what have you? Cheers!
Good fork deals on the on one site at the moment
Tora, Recon or Reba with Motion Control.
Assume you are talking secondhand.
Thanks guys. anything second hand in the price range worth considering from the other manufacturers?
Magura get decent reviews, though I'd stick with the Rockshox personnally. Stick a ad in the wanted section, even scruffy looking Reba's would be worth while.
