As above. Looking to get one for Mrs Ready. Not worried about bells & whistles, just want a good ride recorder. Any recommendations please?
Define “cheapish”.
Given the brief set of requirements, how about a very cheap secondhand phone? Or one of the old, basic Edges will set you back about £50.
Garmin Edge 25 does it for me. It will also do a basic "breadcrumb" route for you to follow, small, light, decent battery life, links with Strava etc etc.... I paid about £75 I think?
Or Garmin 200, better battery life than the 25. Can be had for not many pounds.
check the 10 early black friday deals on the homepage, garmin edge for cheap with a link
Bryton Rider 10.
I bought one a month ago. It's good for recording gps data, straight the way I'm back home / in the car, I open the app on my phone , it downloads, then automatically shares it with Strava.
£42 off ebay.
OP, check out a brand called iGPS SPORT.
On Amazon and eBay, they do a few models. Basically Garmin copies. Really chuffed with mine!
Has it's own app that syncs with your mobile/ Strava etc.
I got this model:
Lezyne micro GPS...

I've got the watch version and it's great. More like a bike computer with built in GPS.
