Best value I had was Sideways Tim building me some Hugos on XT hubs.
Be interested to know where you're goign to get a 29 x 2.8 tyre though

Concluded it was cheapest to build my own (which is increasingly rare in a world of merlin and superstar components) so have bought some slx hubs and a pair of s/h i35 wtb rims.

thanks everybody

I am not able at all to build a wheel myself, so I'm looking for complete wheels, but I guess I should cave in and buy separate
How much would it costs to make them built at LBS?

@Duc
Vee 29x2.8" Speedster slick
Arisun 29X2.8"
Also Panaracer Fat B Nimble are actually 29x2.8

Also Schwalbe at Eurobike just released a 29x2.6 Nobby Nic too as another tyre option too, though just been told wont be here until at least the end of october.

Airsun is studded and Vee is a slick - so one regular use off road tyre ? there's lots talked about around the 2.6 - 2.8 but I've yet to find anything actually available. I have a rear tyre challenge with my Rooster as winter approaches as a chronicle on a hugo is pretty wide. I'd like a 2.8 dirt wizard ideally
