On One frame has cracked at the chainstay (the old issue of Brant forgetting to compress it = chainsuck) and I'd like to have it fixed at 'less that Argos' prices. Any ideas?

Easton welding on Berwick rd are a general welders who take on unusual projects. Not bike specific but a skilled welder so should be able to help. Price should be ok too.

I'd get in touch with www.clandestine.cc and see if they can help.
