Looking for a new outer chainring as above but paying £80 seems a bit much- any other options out there for me?

Thanks

Standard shimano fitment surely? I don't have a big ring on either of mine, but the BCD is definately normal Shimano.

The inner ring is nonstandard- it has a wee offset on it, so if you want to fit a normal Shimano ring you need to spacer it in a little too.

Definately standard fitment unlike the newer versions, I run mine single ring with a hope ring.

My 980 - that I run on a 2x9 is standard fitment - except granny has some weird inner spacing, you can use std rings but have to use washers to pack it out - or buy cheap from rose bikes

I've got about 4 of them all pretty much unused, probably 30miles max. You can have one for £20 if any good to you?

Rob2, I flattened 4 teeth on mine a couple of weeks ago. If you're interested in selling the spares, I'd take one off your hands!

I use the standard middleburn 104bcd hardcoat chainrings, i find they last for ages. They do an xtr specific version which is also hardcoat but i haven't tried one of these.

Middleburn are hard wearing but I find with them not having ramps etc shifting is compromised.

Slight hijack, but the ring I bought from rob2 up there turned up and is in excellent condition. Lot of scammers about on the forum but in case rob2 needs feedback for anything else he sells, then it's a tommy two thumbs up from me.

Cheers mate.
