Ok, I know this is asking a lot, but my father wants a folding e bike and doesnt want to spend more than £500.
He's 80 next year, and all he wants it for is pottering along the seafront when they go to their caravan.
Any recommendations? or any must avoids?
He's on about getting one from Argos.
Any help much appreciated.

Avoid Argos.

A little more money, but decathlon make good bikes

At the price point, you are looking at a £150 steel folder with a £50 wheel motor and £100 of battery. That’s not a lot of technology, so don’t ask too much.

The much nicer crank assisted bikes are double the budget because the adapter is a lot more.

Dont go Argos if you can avoid it. The B-Twin tilt ebike - there’s one on the ebay at the minute, with warranty and offers accepted...
