There seem to be a few around the £50 mark - Truvativ Noir, One23, etc.

Are they a false economy?

I got a Ragley one for £35 in a CRC sale about 6 months ago and I haven't broken it yet. Best to get one from a reputable brand and a reputable seller though.

I got a Hylix one a while back for my hybrid, broke the top off it. Replaced it with an Exotic which is going strong, it's a wee bit heavier though

£50 - that's not cheap.

I am using an £18 210 gram post and it is still going after 6 months. Only used for XC riding but full rigid so gets 'bounced' on a fair bit soaking up the bumps.
