Looking to replace the tired carbon/alu forks on my Bianchi road bike with a full carbon pair.
Looking for some second hand Bianchi ones ideally, but they all seem to have rather short steerer tubes on that well-known online auction site.
For less money (£50-ish) I could pick up some brand new, un-cut full carbon forks from the same place.
Anybody have any experience of these or can recommend any in particular ?
Look nice enough, but a bit cheap perhaps ?
TIA
Honestly, I'd be far too concerned with regards to safety to ever risk it. I wouldn't say it's worth saving the extra £50 or even £100 over a reputable brand given how severe the risk could be. I'm sure you already know this though!
Yes of course, but a lot of people seem to buy them. Interested to know how they fare in reality, maybe they're actually ok ?
I picked my last set up from Planet-X on some bizarre bargainous pricing anomaly that they do every now and then, about £70 I think, and excellent quality. You can get an entire CF frameset from them for less than some forks

^^ So if even branded forks can be shonky, might as well go with cheap ones then?
Is that your point? 😃
Bought some cheap Chinese ones off fleabay… bloody things tried to kill me! All looked OK, but developed a huge wobble over around 18mph - have a video of them rocking backwards and forwards with the front brake on, but no way I'd waste my time trying to upload it - ended up buying a new F&F off Planet X in one the sales...
Decent/known brand like Hylix etc I think you'd be OK.
SJS Cycles have a fair range of forks.
