Morning All,

A female friend is looking for a bike for canal path pootling and maybe some gentle woodland paths with a budget of £250. She's all of 5'3 would need to be a small and doesn't want anything with drop bars.

There's a lot of dross at this end of the market so are there any highlights or bargains kicking around?

TIA 🙂

When I picked up my 18" Voodoo Marasa on Saturday, there was a 16" womens version waiting to be collected in a nice vibrant teal green. £405 with British Cycling discount, available to order for collection around the 8th depending on whether you want it built up (I did, all fine).

The geo table looks wrong, their are reviews from 5'2" riders, the geo table is the 18/20" mens version.

Comes with 700x40 tyres, I found a 2.35" G One Speed had 5mm+ clearance on the fork, looks like limitting factor on the rear is clearance to the front mech rather than chain stays (so maybe 50mm max).

Go and ask on retrobike. For £250 you should be able to pick up something perfect for her requirements.
