Are the cheap (£10-15) bleed kits off eBay any good? The genuine kit is £27 on CRC and isn't even that great according to the reviews so I'm reluctant to shell out for it.
Same question for Reverbs.
I miss my old Hopes where you could just stick a piece of plastic tube on the caliper and pour fluid into the master cylinder 🙁 It's good enough for cars so why not bikes?
Epic Bleed Solutions are the best I've used for Avid.

A fraction of the cost but exactly the same principle & instructional vids on the site too.
Beware though if you have the new Guide Ultimates, with the S4 calliper, as the SRAM 'Bleeding Edge' tool is the only option.
I had one of the cheap ones off ebay and it was OK, but the epic bleed solutions one is just as good as the actual Avid one a loads better than the cheapo ones.
Epic bleed kits are superb
Reverb syringes for both. Just don't mix them up 🙂 Depends on the brakes though. Guides and other newer SRAM brakes don't need the seal clips etc, just pump them with oil, rotate the caliper a bit to find the hidden air, and you're done. If you're thinking long term the pro Avid kit is actually worth the money, but its £40!
Also bear in mind you might have bleeding edge calipers too. Thats different fitment again., but even easier to bleed.
Good job I ordered an Epic kit last night then! Only a couple of quid more than the cheaper ones but worth it for peace of mind.
