Bought an possible for my daughter but is like to replace the 8blocks with something a little wider. I hear 1.8ish is a good width for the rims.
Don't want anything too knobbly, ideally something like a rocket ron....but cheaper
Anyone know if anything?
Halfords stocks plenty usually
If she's riding any proper trails I wouldn't go to cheap as they will be rubbish.
Geax gato TNT at CRC £5.99 each, my 12 year old son uses them on his bike.

Small Block 8 is actually a pretty useful tyre. Much more grip than you'd think for the wee blocks unless you're going into proper, deep winter slop. Great in trail centre riding and surprisingly good on rocks and damp trails. I've used them Tour de Nevis, Strathpuffer, 10 Under, winter in Aberdeenshire etc. and always been surprised how well they manage.
This may depend on the compound - not sure if Islabikes come with a cheapy no-grip version.
Edit - if the Small Block 8 is a no-go, I've just tidied my garage and have a huge box of 26" tyres. I'd be happy to see if there's anything that would work for you and send for postage costs.
Bigger small block 8's? I've just ordered some 1.9's from the Woolly hat shop for our daughters 26 inch Islabike. There are a few cheap deals for 2.1 versions on eBay as well.
i think wider smallbloc 8s would be good.
not sure i'd want anything more than 1.8 though.
but the stock 8 blocs are quite narrow
I got some of these. About £8.50 each plus delivery.
