You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just found a "Charlie makes me go faster".
I suspect that I didn't use it when I got it as my previous bike was black and it wouldn't have show up. The new one (that I've had for 6 years) is blue and orange so on it goes.
I've got "Toughen Up Princess" on the top tube of my road bike and "No Britneys" on the SS.
Anyone else still sporting a CTBm sticker?
I have Toughen Up on a bike.
My drinking club has a cycling problem. On the fatty.
"Every time you change gear, God kills kitten"
All time favourite.
Cheers!
I.
My drinking club has a cycling problem
Ah yes!
That went on the black bike as the text was white!
My single speed has a couple, ‘I stop for cake’ and ... I put ‘Toughen up princess’ on my son’s DZh bike.
'Bob Marley's wailers smoked my derailleurs'
I've got "Don't be such a roadie" on my Longitude
"never go full roadie" is the wrong colour for my black bike. I should find another but in white.
I'm gonna put that one on my gravel bike 😁
I have the Bob marley one, and one that says something Bout changing gears and kittens
I have " one less car" on the back of the cargo bike
Got one still on the Spearfish I sold to a mate who's on here. Can't recall what it was though.
My Dandy Horse Brings all the boys to the yard and I’m like its better than yours was the best ever CTBM sticker.
Covered the whole of a chainstay.
I used to have one that said "What would Lance do?" or something like that 🙂
"If in doubt, flat out" on my old Fox helmet
Still have unused "I brake for cake"...my favourite so haven't figured a worthy enough place for it
Never got the "Toughen up princess"... That's a great one, wish i had that one
Got "Don’t be such a roadie" on the CX
I brake for cake and Toughen up Princess are on my toolbox. TUP was on my SS but I peeled it back off when it broke (the bike that is) and a strip of clear gorilla tape now fixes it down.
A mate made his own, after his young daughter mispronounced. 'Daddy's spingleseed'
I had;
No cycling
No skating
No point living
on the back of my old van.
A Frenchman reading out very lowly "hello I am a bicycle" was proper chuckle moment on trip.
“Just because we both ride bikes, it doesn’t mean we’re friends “
On the non drive side chainstay of my rarely ridden road bike.
Had "If found please locate owner in nearest hedge"
Or something like that, trying to find a pic.
Edit, here...
"My drinking club has a cycling problem." on my track pump.
"What would Lance do?" on my partner's boys' bedroom door. When I saw that I knew she was alright.
I have those 2 that Branes has on the inside of my van doors, courtesy of Chris Salt from whom I purchased it. And it's still doing well!
“Every time you change gear, God kills kitten”
All time favourite.
Agreed - also on my SS. Wish I had stocked up on a few more of these!
'Clunker Classic 2005' on my BMX
And a 'Lost In Dorset' bottle opener headset spacer on the Surly.
Got ‘Racing is for losers’ on my SS.
'Loud tyres save lives' on my fatbike.
Some years ago I bought a used a frame with some rigid forks sporting a "Suck my cog" sticker. It's still on them.
My Sanderson Soloist was covered in them. I still have an envelope full of various ones.
Toughen Up Princess is my favourite.
"My drinking club has a cycling problem" on chainstay of currently retired singlespeed.
"Hold my cider and watch this" on side of kiddie trailer/pushchair, now passed on to a mate, without discussing sticker.
And a search through the shed sticker box is high on the to do list for the impractical parts bin build I've got in my head.
FYI, they now come with stuff purchased from the Singletrack shop.
My van is newly supporting "Maturity is a poor reaction to reality" , or somthing like that.

Oh look, here there are:
https://singletrackmag.com/shop/singletrack-sticker-wad/
My only surviving ones are:
Drop bars, not bombs
Jesus rode cross
i had "to the pub"
i want it on a top cap.
Jesus rode cross
Pure genius. You could say he really nailed it.
I brake for cake.
What would Jenn do?
The latter is on the top tube of my Solaris and protected with heli-tape. It will stay there.
I used to have one that said “What would Lance do?” or something like that 🙂
That's what it says on my favourite T-shirt 🙂
"drop bars, not bombs"
I wasn't aware of that one. Would definitely have that on my road bike.
“Drop bars, not bombs” genius.
Stickers are tacky.
One less car - on the commuter.
Suck my cog - on the single speed.
If found please locate the owner in the nearest hedge - bottom of the single speed.
Toughen up princess - Stem of my wife's bike - She didn't spot it for quite a few rides...
I brake for cake - this one ended up on the vacuum cleaner, I'm not sure why.
'Loud tyres save lives'- yet to use it. Been sat in the draw for about 8 years.
Toughen Up Princess?
Sorry to break it to you but even though she's married to a prince she's a duchess, not a princess.
I desperately want to swap the bars on my bike, but won't because of the "Hold my Cider and Watch This" sticker.
A mate liberated a sticker off the tube and had one of those purple coloured 'please give up this seat if an elderly or disabled person needs it' on the saddle of his trials bike.
'Toughen up Princess' on my Jones. Got given to my girlfriend when we went to Swanage and dropped by. She didn't think it was funny and gave it to me. Much more apt.
Think Charlie needs to redo some of these stickers, really want a toughen up princess amongst others
Indeed. They have to be as shonky looking as the originals too!
some-one needs to draw a Venn diagram that shows the relationship between; Sticker appreciation, 12 yr old girls and boys and mountain-bikers

Hi Piers!

Seems a bit sexist / cringe for 2021. Might just be me but I wouldn't adorn my bike with that sort of slightly outdated message. [/fun police]

Really interested in this comment. Would you expand it?
I see a princess as a spoilt little royal that has everything done for her. Princess and the pea etc and doesn't live in the real world. I watched a lot of Disney as a child.
Never really thought about it in any other way. How do you see it?
I know it's not about what I think, it's about what others think. Interested in why you think that.
Thanks
Yeah, I see that, and clearly the spoilt brat image is part of why we might call someone a princess. But why is it a Princess not a Prince? It would be naive that the gender of the royal is not a part of the 'insult'. As you say, Disney has a lot to answer for when it comes to gender stereotypes.
Basically, there are other ways of saying toughen up / try harder than don't demean women.
We need a 'Shut up Legs!' but for MTB.
Ok so what's an acceptable alternative: "Toughen Up Snowflake ❄️"?
We need a ‘Shut up Legs!’ but for MTB.
'Shut up cake-belly'?
I desperately want to swap the bars on my bike, but won’t because of the “Hold my Cider and Watch This” sticker.
I've kept a broken frame for similar reasons
Now I had a “Watch for the gear changes and try to keep up” sticker.....was that one of his?
I just had a look and found brake for cake, one less car and toughen up princess.
eBay?
Cheap Beer is Not a Crime from Charlie at the last ST awards evening
Just received an order from the Bikemonger. Included a sticker.
“Sous les pavés, la plage” (Except the accent was on the v...)
Are they trying too hard to capture Charlie’s relaxed attitude?
“The statement encapsulated the movement's views on urbanization and modern society in both a literal and metaphorical form.“
I would settle for ‘never go full roadie’ though
(as a self confessed roadie myself)
@jonba, are you thinking of selling 'princess'? After a few days I'm still thinking it's a good sticker for me. Pm me if you want to sell and have a price in mind, cheers
Got a couple of kitten ones. 1 unused. Offers on the back of a tenner please.
Blimey.... it’s really nice to read this thread. Makes me nostalgic.
gil who printed the stickers for me reckons we did over 300,000 and that was back at the SS world champ in Ireland... so maybe half a million in the end.
the “my dandy horse brings all the boys to the yard and I’m like it’s better than yours” cost loads to make.
jesus rode cross... I cringe a little at that one.
I think “toughten up princess” was in response to the drunk cyclist guys giving me a “cowboy up cupcake”.

I think a “hold my small batch craft IPA and watch this”.... will be along soon.
The van I bought 5 years ago off this forum came with 2 stickers. "What would Lance do?" And "My drinking club has a cycling problem". On Saturday it, and the stickers, are being picked up by their new forumite owner.
I actually gave Lance Armstrong a “what would Lance do.”.... he was very cool about it. “Thank you, I think I already have one of these”. An hour later he raced past the whisky tree and he was jamming so hard, I looked into his eyes for a split second and it was genuinely scary. Dark, furious, 100% racing killer.

Unfortunately I've sold all my frames that had CTBM stickers on them.
Finding one adorning a trail marker at Coed Y Brenin made my day - not sure if its still there, that was July 2019:
A compilation of all these needs to be given to Charlie the bikemonger and a new sticker run needs to be done. there are some utter classics here that deserve a print re-run.
Something about Cornholme - Hebden filth?
On polling day, and with a nod north of the border , can I mention “Be More Scottish”?
My two half Scots, Yorkshire born sons love that one.
And what about a variation on the Lance one?
”What didn’t Lance do?”

ALl I see is a No Entry sign. Sure you weren't at the bottom of the trail? 😀
