The top cap says "charger"

Trailheads says "n/a"

Without taking apart, am I missing anything in identifying the damper??

It's a Charger RC, but all it seems to have in relation to other Chargers is the name. Apparently quite different and more basic inside

Where did you find that info?

So it has a c1 airspring but a poor damper from looking at the info on trailheads?

Isn’t the charger rc damper some kind of ifp sealed against the inside of the stanchions - rather than a bladder damper like higher spec forks of the same year?

Maybe it’s the same damper as the OEM only Revelation / Yari Charger RC?

Try page 27 of the following guide - might be one of these. Looks like it is a cartridge but with an ifp setup rather than the bladder full charger damper. Perhaps it’s similar to the basic Fox grip damper. Should be better than moco.

I had a Lyrik RC a few years ago.

It was pretty decent. Only noticed the damping was better when I got an Ultimate, rather than noticing any issues when I had it.

Cheers all, ordering a c1 air spring and charger 2.1 rct3 damper for it I think

My guess would be it has a charger bladder style damper but with only low speed adjust and the oldest debonair air spring.

If so I had the same fork  changed the air spring for the C2 (I think? Not the newest but the one before) as that really improves the spring side but it was a decent fork

You could just take the tops off and check.

Thats a Charger2 RC bladder damper, not the IFP based one.

That's the one I was talking about (as serviced by you I think Rick).

Main (only?) benefit of the Ultimate was being able to dial the HSC down.

If you like a bit of HSC anyway, it might suit you fine OP.

Fork whipped apart and as @rickdraper said

Charger damper with rebound and lsc

And 170mm air spring

Both now going spare of anyone wants them!

This is the fork in question - page 20!

This is it

Well that was a night and day upgrade success!

The new C1 air spring coupled with the Charger 2.1 RCT3 damper - last nights ride on teh same route as usual, crazy smooth, supportive, no dive, no arm pump! The airspring i'm sure had a lot to do with it.

Put the settings in that Trailhead gave me, popped a shockwiz on for curiosity, came back all good!
