Hi chaps,

Looking at a Charge Scoop as really got on with Spoons, don't really see the point of ti rails on a full sus. However, the EVA vs PU foam in the elite vs the Pro is interesting.

Is EVA more comfortable than PU or is it just lighter for the same size?

Cheers

Ricks

If you like the spoon, I would recommend the shallow Scoop. Cant comment on the padding though.

Isn't the Radius one closer to the spoon, with the rounded edge and taller backend?

Given how many bikes you must setup for people... It's gonna be for a bike that when I'm sat down I'm going steeply uphill, and then dropping the saddle out of the way entirely for descents ...

I've used Charge Spoons on all my but on the latest bike fitted a Scoop. Scoop brings another level of comfort but not had it long enough to how long it will last compared to a Spoon but so far, so good.

rickon you'd think to look at the radius is closer, but having ridden all three I firmly believe the shallow feels more like a spoon, I think its just go a little more support to it which the spoon also has over the radius scoop.

They are no longer "Charge", they have been rebranded as Fabric Scoop.

How is the saddle material holding up? I had read in a thread about the top being a bit fragile, admittedly it was only once not something recurring so could have been nonsense.

The matt black surface is just a thin surface finish.

most of that surface has fallen off my scoop, leaving a weird shiny layer exposed.

Still comfy tho'...

Done 650 miles on my Plug in all weathers and the saddle still looks like new. Its a shallow scoop but its not as comfy as the spoon. My gripes with it may just be because it's on a road bike, but if I set it so it's comfy on the brake hoods/tops then it put pressure on when I'm down in the drops. If I set it so it's fine in the drops, I slide forward when on the hoods. May not be so much of an issue on a MTB.

My scoop is barely showing any signs of wear. Very happy so far. If I crashed and put a big hole through the outer, I'd buy another (or one of the family).

I did have a knife at one point and did like the idea of more flex and less padding.

I've been running once since last August when they first came out and it still looks like new. I've now bought 2 more for my other bikes!

I have two flats and a shallow, coming from 2 knives previously
