Mate my be in the market for another bike . Thinks 700 to 800 is about his budget . He liked my Inbred when he rode a few times so looked at the 26 and 29 er both 799 . Then I looked on Paul's Cycles Duster Mid same price and the Hi for another 50 quid . With Tange tubing I'm thinking they would give a better ride and better bang for bucks ?

Duster!
I built one as an XC bike and did thousands of miles on it. It just kept going. Sold to buy something more bling but current owner is still using it daily. The Hi is a good spec too.

Another vote for duster. Love mine had it since 2009 I think. Started racing on it before I bought an anthem.

One negative - mine does suffer from chain suck though. Multiple drives new and old didn't solve it, including a full transplant of a non-sucky drive from one bike to another so I think its to do with my frames alignment. Charge didn#t not reply to emails either. Finally resolved by running steel 26 / 36 rings. Don't let that put you off too much, its a great frame

A vote for the On One, here! It's nothing fancy, just an honest machine. (NB; i am a bit of a fanboi)

I don't buy into this argument of higher quality steel ensuring a better ride quality... There are too many variables to make it that clear-cut. Honestly, though, i think your mate would be happy with either.
