You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi All
After some terrible shifting on the semi fat bike I had a look and can see that the gear hanger is bent.
No problem I thought I'm sure I have another - checked my random bits store and that one is bent too!
Now looking on the web and can find many out of date hits that either dont work or are spam (gear hanger review anyone?)
Does anyone know where I can get one without resorting to checking through thousands on one of the specialist gear hanger companies offerings?
Many thanks!
Alastair
I'd try straightening it first as a new one is far from a guarantee of straightness anyway. Failing that, Wheels Manufacturing is a good place to start, their hanger finder system is usually pretty good.
BGRD# is a series of Pinnacle hangers, do Charge use the same code? There may be shared dropout designs from the same suppliers, would be amusing if the code is also same.
@Jameso - yes I think they are shared codes!
I plan to get the 2 I already have straightened and use a new one on the bike if thats possible.
Anybody got any further suggestions? (I have emailed Evans!)
Thanks
That's funny. The guy who started the Pinnacle range before I took over named them BGRD as in a damaged one, "that's proper bgrd that is.." - nothing to do with manufacturer codes..
No longer on Evans website but mech hangers are a pain for stock levels. Best bet is to phone your nearest store and ask them to have a look through their hanger box. There are images of it on the internet, might be worth seeing if it looks similar.
Good advice Akira - local shop has one and reserved it for me
Thanks for the help all above!
