You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Not ridden it since late last year, and was wondering have the Sanitizers finished on there yet?If so how much difference have they made?
TIA.
it's a nice easy climb now apparently!
Ah well,Thanks for the quick answer, wasn't too sure which way to tackle it, if it's an easy climb now, does that make it a fast(er)downhill?
I thought there was nothing wrong with it beforehand, far more interesting than just blasting down a smoothed out track. 🙁
It'd be a waste of altitude as a descent. If you're heading towards mam nick just go down the descent next to the bus stop instead.
The last time I was by the Bus stop, the first part of that looked like it had been smoothed out as well?

which they've sanitized the top 200m or so..
Personally if heading in the mam nick direction, I'd continue over to Hollins Cross and either head down the track between the very old gate posts, or head back on yourself down the BW to the gate at the bottom of the descent sambob describes..
Can't re-call the very old gate posts, of the top of my head, will give that way a good looking at I think.Just need to factor in a visit to Edale Cafe. 😉
graeme..if you stand looking at hollins cross, looking along the ridge with castleton/mam tor valley to your right, and edale vally to your left. the gate posts are at 9 o'clock, straight down, and one of my favorite drops, the track to take you to the gate at the bottom of the toboggen run will be at 7 o'clock. either way they both drop you really near the cafe at the station
Martyn, thanks very much for the pointer. I've done the one at 7 o'clock, looks like I need to do your option and head for the old gate posts.
