I've changed the hose on my brake and am having trouble getting fluid running through.
My main problem is I don't understand how to ensure that the hole in the banjo bolt lines up with the hole in the banjo itself? OR - doesn't it need to? (I would have thought it does, but not sure) Is it in the amount of washers - one either side of the banjo, none, just on one side (if so which)?
Currently, I've got the hose connected, the reservoir is full, the bleed nipple is as open as it can be, yet depressing the lever doesn't cause fluid to start coming out of the bleed nipple.
I assume I haven't got a fully open system because I have connected the banjo connector wrong, but I can't see how to line it up.
There is however no resistance to depressing the lever, however I assume the slight change in pressure is being taken up by the open reservoir expanding slightly.

The rest depend son what brake you have.
Personally I like to force all the fluid up from the bleed nipple then attach the end to the lever then force some more up.
ok, I got it running through now but having trouble bleeding it.
the procedure i'm doing is: open bleed nipple, depress lever, close bleed nipple, release lever. Making sure the reservoir is always full.
But the bubbles just keep on coming through thick and fast.
Any ideas?
If they keep coming and you are sure you have fully flushed it then air is getting into the system from somewhere- find this and stop it...look for leaking fluid and use bog roll wrapped around joins[ end of pipes to check for leaks.
