I have been told this is very easy to do but can't find any instructions for the specific model. The forks are SID RCT3 29er originally 120mm but they were converted to 100mm.

Basically I'm putting them back to 120mm as I have the air shaft to replace, I was going to follow this video done by MBR

Is this exactly what I need to do?

Not sure about the SID forks but I did my Rebas and it was a piece of piss. So if they are similar you should be fine

I presume you've searched the Sram support site? They used to have workshop manual pdf's with photos which were generally helpful and found it to be quite comprehensive. Haven't watched the vid, can't comment on that.

I managed to cock it up, like I do every time I service my forks. But it should be easy enough if you are half way competent. You need some circlip pliers.

That video is pretty accurate. It's a fairly easy job with the correct tools. I always find that getting the circlip back in is the most tricky job but it's not that taxing. Make sure you've got some SRAM slick honey (or equivalent) grease to lube up the o rings and seals on the new shaft etc.
