Can I cut a hole in the rim tape then patch it up or should fully remove/replace the tape?
I’ve got enough tape but I’m being lazy
Cheers
Could you unthread the old spoke, and then, while holding the nipple so it doesn't drop into the rim, put in a new spoke from the outside, threading it through the hub? All while leaving the tape intact?
I've never tried it so I'm just guessing.
The spoke has snapped with nothing left poking out of the nipple unfortunately
Have you got the old nipple out? If it's rattling round inside the rim, you'll need to remove all the tape and shake it about to get the old nipple to fall out...
In answer to the question, yes you can.
