I rode a rigid 29er recently and have been won over, I'm now looking to replace my forks with rigid ones.

Now, I'm just looking to see if anyone can help me out here, although I'm probably clutching at straws because nobody seems to rate my bike or own one.

Right, to the point (sorry!)...

My bike:
Coyote Freeway with RaceFace Deus XC handlebars, and Octane One 2013 flat pedals, other than that it is standard.

The Forks I'm after:
On-One Carbon.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if they'll fit in the headtube or accommodate my brake caliper etc? I'm not sure where or what I need to be measuring, nor can I seem to find a comprehensive enough spec sheet online for my bike.

Sorry for the overwhelming noobness of the above, but thanks in advance nonetheless.

Cheers,

Steve.

Looks like a standard 1 1/8" steerer fork so you should be fine - you may need an adapter on the brake mount but not sure what your bike has.

My bike has Promax mechanical disc brakes if that helps? My current Suntour Forks have a max disc diameter of 160mm so my rotor should be within that, meaning it should fit the On-One?

Excuse my poor knowledge. How would I find out, and what's the difference?

Cheers!

OK. It appears the caliper was designed to be mounted either way. It looks like a post mounted caliper. It is bolted to a bracket that then bolts to the fork leg in the same way as I.S, if that makes sense?

So it is a PM fork with an I.s. to PM adaptor, lucky sod, now all you need to do, is buy X lite carbon 9mm qr or 15mm bolt thru axle forks then ride like the wind!

Oh just bolt the brake onto the x lite fork check rotor size is suitable for the i.s. mount on fork so as not to dig into calliper of brake then go ride like the wind.

No it looks like an I.S fork with a PM Caliper mounted with an adaptor 😛 I will google the X Lite's now 🙂

They are very nice, I'm assuming they're rated better than On-One's stuff?

Unsure on that Q you posed right there!

As apparently on ones / Planet X together teamed up to come to the aid of x lite but I do believe that the x's are better than on ones versions.

Purely choose on sized steerer tube, brake mount and axle type rather than looks or pedigree as even though carbon parts from some manufacturers differ structurally but may look similar in design.
Think mould process and amount of carbon used for starters.

Then it will appear, not what it first did to the untrained buyer.

Hopefully I have given more than sufficient and impartial advice for you to get rigid sooner rather than later as the nun said to the bishop.
